A Woodland Whisper with Heritage Heart

The brief was to create a statement sitting room—stylish and sophisticated, yet equally a cosy and inviting retreat for entertaining friends or curling up with the family on winter evenings. 

The woodland backdrop features ‘Autumn Arborea’ wallpaper from House of Hackney, balanced by a ceiling in Farrow & Ball Strong White and woodwork in the moody elegance of De Nimes. The vintage armchairs have been beautifully reupholstered in Moorish Maze by Rapture & Wright, piped in Romo’s Linara for a crisp, tailored finish. Cushions, designed and made bespoke, showcase fabrics and trims from Sanderson, Imogen Heath, Rapture & Wright, Romo, Houles and Colefax & Fowler, adding layers of colour and texture. An oversized ottoman upholstered in Colefax & Fowler’s 'Tamarind' and finished with copper velvet piping from Samuel & Sons brings generous softness to the heart of the room. Completing the scene, the ‘Skystar’ and ‘Double Chukka’ wall lights from Pooky cast a warm, atmospheric glow—illuminating every detail with inviting charm.
